Deux poèmes en anglais
de Salah Al Hamdani
Barbed Wires
At thé exhaustion of the morning dew
A wild animal assaults into the life
Launches out of its lair
In him
The uproar of these long rain palavers
Under the star of the gun shots
Breaks the tepidness of waiting
Like him I will
Stretch my years
To the round
To this huge roar in the wind
Veiled with clouds
With suffocating mornings
To this wounded soldier who turns back
On the battle path
And behind him
The endless plain
And before him
My body exposed to the pack
On a cold instant
The mirage raises
My Memory is soon buried
With my elsewhere in its arms.

What to do with our nights?
The transient troubles the intimate moment
The twilight
The darkness fades at the end of the sole
Path
I love to sprinkle the evening
That extends your reflection
On fullness crossing the silence
Then you catch yourself in the Mirror
Suddenly you escape
From me
Youth should be secretly transported
Coming back to all the memories
Quicker and quicker
And half way
Explore the souvenir
That struggles with itself
All is getting fast
The wind of past comes back
It is a river in writing
Suddenly I sink into a damp silence
I look out for somebody who is not coming
